Study on the Seepage Mechanism of Rainwater on Granite Residual Soil Cut Slopes

In order to study the seepage process of rainwater on granite residual soil cut slopes, a numerical model for analysis slopes was established. Then, by applying rainfall boundary condition, path slope analyzed under condition infiltration. Finally, during seepage, volumetric water content and pore-water pressure change characteristics inside were analyzed, mechanism in revealed. The results show that, infiltration, surface area gradually forms saturated temporary stable state. As state extends slope, increases groundwater level recharge is formed at foot slope. Rainwater infiltration changes original causing from two distribution states unsaturated three temporarily area, top bottom. moisture slope-monitoring points increased with an increase duration, overall showed “S” shape. causes gradually, matric suction disappears. particular, disappearance will lead gradual weakening shear strength soil, thus affecting stability.
